WILDLIFE RESCUE AND REHABILITATION

Directed by Mickie Hortness and in association with Canyon Lake Veterinary Hospital, Wildlife Rescue has taken in and helped injured and orphaned animals for many years at no cost. These animals would otherwise be left to suffer alone. Their stories are much like those televised on shows about animal rescues.

Mickie, a Licensed Rehabilitator, the veterinary doctors and staff, donate their time, services and supplies to treat these special patients. "We believe that showing compassion and kindness to another living creature is one of the greatest acts we as human beings can perform. We believe in most cases there is always hope. Through our experiences we have learned that even the most seemingly hopeless creature can sometimes astound us by recovering to live a normal life and eventually be released back into the wild. We have learned that perhaps we human beings aren't as much in control as we would like to believe. Through our experiences we have come to believe that there is a "guardian angel" watching over the wild creatures."
